You start out at year 1939 and a little clock in the corner of the menus screen tells you what year you are in. In the conquer world mode, there are 5 “eras” or years. There are two main modes, “conquer world” and “military career.” This makes it really fun because I can go in and try to win a certain era or I can replay famous historical battles, being either allies or axis.
